With 2020 coming to a close – Phew! – it was with great excitement that we welcomed the news a few weeks ago. Melbourne Weddings are back!
Everyone we have spoken to is more than ready to celebrate. Of course, Melbourne weddings may look a little different now, and will continue to do so well into 2021. The evolution in how weddings are held, however, need not impact the elegance or style that people have come to expect from weddings at Ballara Receptions.
Working with some of the best suppliers and service providers in the industry, the relief and anticipation in the air at the moment is putting smiles on faces all over Victoria. The past months have shown just how committed, resilient, patient, and ingenious Melbournians can be, and we are proud of everyone’s efforts to get us to this point.
The Ballara Receptions team cannot begin to explain how much we missed seeing gorgeous, happy couples and their guests enjoying our expansive estate, fairytale backdrops, and delicious food and beverage offerings. Of course, now that Melbourne weddings are back in (nearly) full swing, we are loving that the estate has once again become abuzz with nuptial joy.
Even with the restrictions in place, we are back at full capacity in the stunning ballroom, with a variety of menus permitted depending on your reception style preference. Sit down, cocktail and high tea packages are all back on the menu, along with the long-standing tradition of cake cutting.
To help ease the impact of the space restrictions on the dance floor, our event managers have put together a collection of games and activities for guests to play during the reception. Bridal quiz games such as the “shoe game” have always been popular and are proving to be even more so with the current COVIDSafe protocols.
