Sasha and Michael recently celebrated the perfect Easter nuptials at their Autumn wedding reception centre, with family and friends sharing the joy-filled day.
On Good Friday Eve, this beautiful and loving couple said their vows in the Ballara Chapel, followed by an unforgettable evening. Choosing Ballara Receptions for their Autumn wedding reception centre ensured the occasion was everything they dreamed it would be.
From the moment Sasha walked down the aisle in her stunning Fairytale’s Bridal Boutique gown, all eyes were on the happy couple. They exchanged heartfelt vows with celebrant John Beck, who captured the love and commitment that these two have for each other.
One of the most wonderful things about celebrating at an Autumn wedding reception centre like Ballara Receptions is the amazing surroundings – the early Autumn colours in the gardens, as the wind lightly rustles the leaves. The photos by Perla Photography were picturesque and nothing short of breathtaking.
Surround yourself with the positive people
When selecting a wedding party and asking other friends to be involved in the wedding, select people who have positive attitudes and those who support you unconditionally. The last thing you want is people criticising your decisions, or trying to impress their own opinions or desires on the outcome.
Make your ceremony mean something
The reception might be the party and be fun to organise, but your ceremony is your commitment to each other. Is there a special song for you and your partner, perhaps the one that was playing the night you were engaged? Have you ever written a poem or love letter to your fiancé? Read it during the ceremony, or if nerves won’t allow you to read it yourself, have your celebrant read it for you. Choose readings that mean something to you.
Create a timeline for the wedding day
If you are not working with a wedding planner, it is your job to create a realistic timeline for everyone to follow. Detail and document all key elements and activities that are to take place on the day. Include addresses of locations and who needs to be where and when. If you do not do this, you are trusting others to instinctively know your needs.
Ask for help when you need it
It is not uncommon to become overwhelmed with wedding planning. It takes a lot of time, dedication and work. Typically, there are many people knocking at your door anxious to help.. When asking for help from friends or family members, give them specific instructions and deadlines. Also, make sure they know you still have final say.
When it came to the evening festivities, Sasha and Michael certainly focussed on fun! While guests were enjoying canapés and drinks, Events by Alysia wowed the crowd with a unique and smile-inducing fairy floss cart. The waiting time laughs included a photo booth and caricature artist. This ensured that guests were completely entertained while the gorgeous couple had their photos taken.
It’s hard to choose their greatest support act from all of the fantastic elements in Sasha and Michael’s wedding. The lovely bridesmaids, handsome groomsmen, whose outfits matched perfectly with the soft pink accents adorning the chairs and the bonbonniere? Or was it the exquisite floral arrangements, with a flower wall from Flowers by Elizabeth Victoria and some of the most life-like artificial flower arrangements we’ve ever seen by Bliss Event Hire, who styled the Ballara stands to perfection.
Let’s not forget the music! Cultures came together seamlessly at the Sasha and Michael’s Autumn wedding reception centre, with the Cook Island Performance Group taking the stage, and Midnight DJ’s keeping the dance floor busy for the couple and guests alike!
